I added a hook_menu function to my product_type custom module but when I go to "https://mydomain/cart/refreshcart " it says "The requested page could not be found."

I added a hook_menu function (see below) to my product_type custom module but when I go to "https://mydomain/*cart/refreshcart* " it says "The requested page could not be found.". I have directly called other urls that were defined within the hook_menu function for the ubercart/uc_cart/uc_cart.module file and they came back fine like " https://mydomain/admin/store/settings/cart". Any idea why this would not work? That's actually not supported in hook_menu().If your goal is to put the asterisks into the URL itself, that's a really bad idea (I don't even think it's a valid URL).If they're not actually in the code, and you just put them there to make the paths stand out for us - sorry, just ignore me then. Besides clearing the cache, you might also make sure that uc_cart_block() is getting the right number of arguments, and that the path to uc_cart.module is correct. (The 'file' path in hook_menu() is relative to your module, not to Drupal's root directory.) That's all I can think of...-Karl.

Drupal Ubercart

Hi!!! I have the next problem. I have a role free for user assigned when the user create your account. When the user pay with paypal ubercart assign to user a new role for X days/years, and the user have 2 roles (free and premium). Can I reemplace the role ? Beacuse, I need to list the user that have free role acount. If I don't have a free role in account, the user and admin can't active the account, why ? Thanks.

As far as I can tell, it's not. It's so much "not," that one person on here actually wrote to say that what I wanted was impossible - and this is a developer list.-Karl.

create comment via drupal_form_submit() - possible?

In D6, creating content via drupal_execute() was difficult. In D7 using drupal_form_submit() seems even more so. Thanks to fields, I can't tell how to pass in the body of a comment or node. Does anyone have an example snippet that creates a comment via drupal_form_submit(). Or any other programmatic way? I'm building my comment during a cron job. I want the automatically generated comment to be attributed to the Anonymous user. But, anonymous does not have permission to "post comments", and comment_form_submit() refuses to save the new comment unless user_access('post comments'). I consider that a bug - that check is made before showing the form and should not be made during submit. What do you think? http://drupal.org/node/1044212 -Dave

I had checked the Lullabot site, and found nothing. I just now checked the Drupalcontrib site, and it's not there, either. The problem is, that the hooks are not defined by Drupal, and they are not themselves functions (so have no doxygen comments). So, if you search for "hook_content_extra_fields," you will find nothing at either site. This is not a knock at either site (both of which are excellent), it's something that really should have been a tutorial from the CCK authors themselves. I'm surprised it's not in the handbook. I'm also really surprised it's not in the node_example module. It really should be. Maybe I'll raise this as an issue in the queue? -Karl.

This is where jQuery is your friend: $(".pane-uc-cart-0").val() ...will get the value of the FIRST element with the pane-uc-cart-0 class. jQuery ships with Drupal, and is automatically added whenever there is JavaScript, so you don't need to add the jQuery library using drupal_add_js(). FYI, class names in Drupal are usually added left-to-right, from least-specific to most-specific. So, the last class is the one that is the most specific to that particular element. -Karl.
