Hi, I would refrain from calling this usability, because it is topics such as these that is beginning to make the word 'usability' into a swear word, so I will just go strait to my suggestion/proposal: Instead of simply giving a 404 when a page is not found, how about opening some sort of prompt to create the page for sufficiently privileged users with a note at the top? The note could be something as follows: "The page you attempted to access does not exist. Click on the link below to create it." And when you click on the link, it will automatically add the short name/alias/path/whatever-we-will-eventually-call-it in that field, and you can merrily continue on your way with adding the content. Of course, if you are not sufficiently privileged, simply return to a 404 page. Regards, Kobus

Hi, I need some overview of what kind of queries are executed on real drupal site and in what amount. I need a list of queries sent to _db_query(). IIRC devel module has such possibility, it can list all queries on a page, with number of executions (and maybe time?). The best would be moderately rich site (maybe a front page with some stories/flexinode type or other and with blocks - latest posts, users online, some images etc) - something with a variety of everything... Problems with relative path names. This has been an ongoing pain and reported for 11 months now. Many people suffer because of it because of clutter in the logs, bandwidth waste, ...etc.. chx has a patch for it. Can we get this moving? http://drupal.org/node/13148 Some URLs get PHPSESSID in them. The patch that djnz cooked up gets rid of some unnecessary code that causes the PHPSESSID to happen on a redirect, as well as a new parameter to try to weed out the last hold out of this pesky issue. http://drupal.org/node/4109 Can we get this in time for 4.7?

Hi, I have been doing a little development for an American client, and it occurred to me that I didn't really know what language the default English is. When developing modules which English should be used. American or British (New Zealand/Australian). eg, colour vs. color, initialise vs. initialize I know that it can be translated, but it will be a pain if some modules used colour and others used color. Hi! Create an access module which: 1) Creates a vocabulary that has all node types and required. 2) Stores (tid, uid, view, update, delete) for every user. No DISTINCT is needed because for every node-user pair we have _exactly_ one line in access. How 2) is calculated is absolutely up to contrib modules. While access table will have (number of terms * number of users) lines, my gut instict says that this method would be still a lot faster than DISTINCTing. Regards NK
