GMap and the White Screen Of Death

Hi there: I've installed drupal 6.17 whit gmap module, It's working fine, I proved the macro code on a node: [gmap|id=map|center=49.2,-123.1|zoom=7|width=600px|height=400px|control=Small|type=Map] And It shown a google map correctly. Mapping locations for Drupal

Hi All, I have a client that wants a map of florida and Louisiana to have 45 locations on it. I have used gmap dev version and location dev version for this before, but I have only ever gotten it to work on one site. I downloaded the files again and did everything the same (or so I thought). My tries for this are not working. I don't know if it's the server or what... So, what is the best (and most stable) way to get a interactive map where you can enter the locations through a drupal node? SSL pages tough or easy?

I have come here before and I would just like to say I really appreciate this group/board. I have a potential client that wants several pages to include SSL exchange of payroll information. I have not implemented secure pages in Drupal(6). I would appreciate input about this. I have seen a module to secure registration and login before. I am tempted to script it, but... XML import

Allowing users to create easy pre-fab sites?

Is anyone aware of anyone using Drupal as a hosting system. My goal is to allow users (probably through OG + Domain Access + Domain Access Advanced + ubercart) to purchase a hosting plan and automatically have a domain set up for them. My users are all in the same industry so the type of nodes they will need to create can be boiled down to a simple 3-4 types. Basically I want them to be able to: 1. Be assigned a template domain/site with some default pages with some lorem ipsum text (should be easy to accomplish using rules) 2. Be able to switch themes on their domain only (I'm not sure how to do this) 3. It'd be totally awesome if they could modify there themes by dragging and dropping blocks to change the layout of their particular site (again no idea how to do this) 4. Grant other users the ability to edit their site (I'm not sure how to do this without exposing my entire user list to them....) Thanks -Bob

Drupal 7 API Change notification: Schema date/time types removed

*We try to notify this list when API changes are made in Drupal 7, so contrib and custom developers have a chance to fix their code before they have the pain of figuring out why it's broken. *In (issue <http://drupal.org/node/866340>) the date:normal, datetime:normal, and time:normal types were removed from the Schema API. High volume site, benchmarking

I am talking with a client about redoing a site in Drupal that gets millions of page views monthly. My concern is page generation time. I would need to assure my client that I con produce pages very fast. Here are a couple of questions: I don't think my question will be MySql vs. Postgre, but I would like some input on getting started in the world of benchmark testing. Fancy Node Access with OG

I'm working on a node access module to stomp all over OG's og_public grant realm. As part of this process, I am conditionally creating a grant that specifically grants no access. It appears this grant does not even get written to the node_access table. This would not be a problem, except (or so I surmise) without a "0" in the update column of that table, users that are not members of a given group can go directly to node/#/edit and make changes. (On account of the <em>edit any **** content type</em> permission. Is there some way I can simply revoke access to nodes? Why am I attempting this madness? I am attempt to skate along the top of the Spaces module.

node_load() oddness

Can anyone think of a situation where a node_load() contained in a function returns partial results when the function is called from a batch script? I have a simple function that I am calling the from a batch API script that processes through a bunch of nodes to fix filepaths in certain migrated content. I've begun experiencing a strange issue while testing it; I've boiled it down to the following test case: <?php function migration_fix_photos($nid) { $node = node_load($nid); dpm($node); drupal_set_message('NID is ' . $nid); } ?> When I call this function with a given NID from a batch script, on some runs, the $node object returned by $node_load is only partially loaded - it has 3 of the 10-12 CCK fields the node should contain, also, $node->title, $node->nid, $node->uid and $node->type are missing from the object, among other portions. The behavior changes between runs of the batch script. I can run a testing run, and only get partially loaded nodes. I can re-run the batch script, and they are fully loaded. Note that this changes per-run of the batch script, not per-call of the function. That is, when the batch script operates on 2000 nodes, the partial node_load() will or will not happen for all 2000 times the above function is run. I could run the batch script again, and get perfectly normal results for all 2000 nodes next time. If I call the above function directly, it shows correct results every time. This only happens when called from a batch script. Note that the $nid argument is always shown as correct (tested with the drupal_set_message() call). Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I have tried using Xdebug, but I can't determine how to attach onto the background AJAX requests the browser is making.
