Recommendations for audio playlists player?

I'm trying to make the following possible: -Add audio files with titles and possibly descriptions to Drupal. Either 1 audio file per node, or many per node, whatever. -Display them in an embedded audio player that does a playlist. Additionally, the files in the playlist should be customizable -- switched out, reordered, etc. I've done single-file node/players a ton of times but never tried the jukebox thing. Any pointers? Views Exposed filter hiding field values

Hello, I have a very strange issue with views exposed filter - I have a node with a cck select fields with to values "give" and "take" These fields are used as an exposed filter so that users can filter the list according to either give or take, I'm using the "is none of" operator because I want a user to see the opposite of what he's selected - filter by give you see all the takes, filter by take you see all the gives. So far so good. The weird issue is that I'm displaying the field value (under fields). And when I filter according to the field, the value is missing. So I filter according to "give" I see all the take nodes, but the field that displayes the "take" is missing. When I don't use the exposed filter (set to any) I see the fields. Now when I change the exposed filter operator to "is one of" I see the field when filtering. Any idea why this is happening - the exposed filter shouldn't really affect individual fields correct? with anonymous user able to edit nodes

Hello, I have strange critical issue with anonymous user being able to edit nodes. I have nodes created by anonymouse users (created using node import) and any anonymous user can edit them. in the permissions anonymous user don't have permissions to edit anything. Idan

MySql Performance Problem

I suppose this is my fault for packing so much into a single query, but I really do want to use tablesort on it. Drupal default values are being pre-filled using a configuration file, easy to update. I mainly added the theme selection among a list of pre-defined ones in this configuration file, because in development phase, we might wan't to work using a clean default theme rather the one currently being developed, since it's moving every hour. In the future, some other stuff will come into this form. I did put all in the default form because they are only a few options, and another screen is just a way to keep the user busy longer. Another stuff is we use the purl module, and want to expose variables such as the default domain name for the sub-domain modifier to be able to work as-is without any further configuration, since it's environment dependent it can't be determined with code (it could, but any aptempt of automatic detection can fail, and user must remains keep the last word about this), adding it within the installation profile is a good thing. D6 installation profile and configure install form alter

Hello, I'm currently writing a complex installation profile for Drupal 6, I'm currently stuck at the configure form alteration. I did a lot of stuff in this form, all is OK, the only restriction is I added some new fields, and I would like to access them in a submit handler so I could do some variable_set(). Since this particular hook_form_alter() is totally a fake, I don't know if the form API will call the potential submit handlers I could add to it. Documentation on the subject is quite hard to find (I read a lot the install.php code, and in this particular workflow, it seems quite hard to override this kind of stuff). Any ideas, or suggestions? Does Drupal 7 provide a way to AJAX-submit a form when the Enter key is pressed in a text field? I tried using "submit" as the event in the #ajax array, but that didn't prevent a page reload.

SQL and connection strings

I'm working on a contrib module that will be used as an enterprise report writer for drupal and other external databases and XML feeds. Some of my users are interested in the capability to store ad-hoc queries and then write reports off of them, (kind of like Crystal Reports). My question is two fold: 1. Do people think its untenable to store ad hoc sql queries either in the drupal site files structure, or in the db? Right now my module assumes that all SQL that will be used for reporting is stored on the file system. I did this because for most enterprise reporting systems I feel it would be advantageous to be able to version control the SQL that is used in these reports. But ad hoc reporting really means writing your own queries, right? So do you think it's wrong to store them on file system or in db? Is it irresponsible to provide such a feature? 2. The connection string (with passwords). Right now I have the site admins hack in connection strings for external databases into settings.php in the sites folder. That probably won't work for a true ad hoc reporting solution, since we may want users to be able to connect to databases from the UI? Is it untenable to store these using variable_set? Are there any ideas for securing them inside the drupal DB? I realize that there will be many opinions on this topic, but I really want to get a feel for the opinions and the why of seasoned developers. Opinions that talk about risk trade offs would be much more welcome than simple, "no you should never do that" statements. Views Filter Plugin: Abstracting Vocabulary

I am trying to dive into Views Plugin writing, and I suspect I've hit a deep end. I'm working on a module which builds on OG Vocabularies, with the aim of being able to assign a given group vocabulary to a particular purpose for that group. For example, you could define a "Waterfall" group vocabulary as a project management field for the group, and in a different group, use an "Agile" group vocabulary. As part of my use case, I need to be able to create an Exposed Filter that will make use of whichever group Vocabulary is assigned to the Purpose configured in the View itself. I am having trouble wrapping my head around how to do this. Using the Taxonomy TID filter, you can select a vocabulary and an interface widget. I want to select a Purpose and an interface widget, have it do nothing except as an exposed filter, and then a View displayed in a given group will route it's widget to the configured vocabulary. (Still working out how to describe this functionality.)
