Hi all, Is there a preferred way in Drupal to programmatically create SQL queries? Currently I'm building a query to pull some webform data from selected component fields. I see a few choices: 1. Build the query with db_query() placeholders, build an argument array, and make the call using call_user_func_array(). 2. Use sprintf() to build up a complete string, and pass that directly to db_query(). 3. Use other functions to sanitise the arguments. Is there any preferred method? Guessing number 2... AHAH Questions

Hi All I am quite new to AHAH, strugling to find how it works. I referred documentation and poll module. I want 3 fields in a fieldset, *Company, Start-Date, End-Date*. I have a button "*Add More Company*", if clicked, it should add a new row having *Company, Start-Date, End-Date *dynamically. How many times user clicks, those many rows needs to be added. To get the above mentioned form, I have put the code as below. However, on button click, new rows are not adding up. Please help me to find whats the error with code. use multi site or not?

Hey guys I've done a few sites using drupal but never a multi. I got this new customer who wants me to make a huge portal website for manchester united team. It's a multi language site, which contains 2 sub-sites: Manchester United and England national football team(default is manchester). after lots of talking over content and features, I found out that they need all galleries, news, menus, front-page and other features to be different for each team. This needs 2 different themes at least(each with two language rtl and ltr). here's a shot: http://016.img98.net/out.php/i75495_1.png To be honest I prefer a framework like CI for such a thing and if using drupal avoid multi-sites cause I don't have enough experience with. My question here is *what if I don't want to use multi-sites* and share some tables. Drupal's a good choice? Have you ever tried to do such a thing? any strategy? anything would help me hear rly. PS. I want to use drupal because of real good community, and the ability which makes me do this real fast(I want to end this project in less than 2month max). Also developing's much easier, they may ask for more features in like a year after site's done. When calling drupal_goto I can't seem to successfully pass a querystring along with the url. below is my call to drupal_goto: * $query = array(); $query['status'] = 'bye'; drupal_goto('admin/store/free_subscription',$query);* Within the called page I output the contents of the $_GET variable using: *dd($_GET);* Below is contents of $_GET: *Array ( [q] => admin/store/free_subscription )* Note: it has the *q *parameter but no *status *parameter. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Thanks, John

Huge Database Operation

Hi I am looking at storing huge data in database (approximately 70,000,00 records). Each record consists of 1. Name 2. Contact number 3. Resume (may vary from 50KB to 150KB) 4. Skill set And when a user(having role based permission) wants to search database and retreive those user's record having certain skill set, should able to perform as quick as possible and show it in a view. Please suggest me if any such modules are available or need to be developed. For front end interface I am looking at webform. Do you have a better suggestion please recomond. Is there any books/links available , which can guide for efficient solution, please let me know. Best Regards Austin

[Drupal7] Multi-Site ecommerce, share products and content

Hi Gurus, I'm getting started with a new challenge and I want to share with you doubt that I have. This project is ecommerce based ( Drupal 7 ecommerce module ), with multiple sites. My first doubt is how can create a master sites that can create products and contents for all sub-sites ? Some people told me to use feeds, other people told be about domain module... But I don't understand how can use feeds for passing all data. Any advice will be more appreciate. Within a conditional action how do I display all the elements within the $order object (dd('order = ' . $order); )?

Within a conditional action custom PHP section I have tried to dump to a log file the contents of the $order object (dd('order = ' . $order);) but it displays nothing but it does display an element within the $order object (dd('order->uid = ' . $order->uid);). Within a conditional action how do I display all the elements within the $order object? Thanks, John
