ie7 login problems?

Hello all, I have a drupal 5.1 installation and I've been following thread after thread on a very pesky login problem on IE7. Some users get an "invalid login" although they provide correct user names and passwords. This is the only relevant thing about it and it doesn't seem to be answered by anyone. http://drupal.org/node/98108 I'm using linux, no ie7, and this is really a nightmare since I can't even debug it and relying on windows guys but to no avail as it happens with some people and not with others. Cleared caches, done everything I could think of. Any hints?

view + cck or views + form_alter

Hi All. This particular site I'm building features a layout with a photo in the upper right corner. The client wants to have the ability to specify the image on every single page. I know I know, kind of whacked, but it's what they want. So, first step was to use cck to add a new field to the "page" type. I tried imagefield but didn't like how you couldn't select an existing image. I managed to whip together a new cck field which uses IMCE to select the image (I'll up it to cvs after some more testing and some coworkers give me the thumbs up on its quality). Okay, so that takes care of any pages displaying a single node. How do I handle views? There are a few views and they obviously need to have the image customizable. It'd be nice if when creating a "view" to provide a page, it inherited the cck fields from the "page" type. Could I use form_alter to add the cck field to the views form? Or is there some way when the "view" is being built I can extract the image from the first node and pass it to page.tpl.php? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. -john

help needed: race condition in project_issue when followups are comments

hunmonk, chx, and I have been hard at work bringing the project_issue module (which powers d.o's issue queue) out of the dark ages. Instead of a bunch of duplicated comment-like functionality for issue followups, followups are now handled via genuine core comments[1]. This solves a bunch of UI and other problems[2], and makes the code easier to maintain. One of the things this will allow is easy deleting of inappropriate issue followups (e.g. spam). However, deleting a followup would totally break our current numbering scheme (the little #1, #2, etc next to each followup). We have a solution for this, but it introduces a race condition when N people reply to the issue at the same time. One obvious solution to the race is to use DB locks, but that's scary from a performance standpoint, especially on d.o. installing database

Hi, it's been a while since I had to install drupal on another server. Installing drupal itself is just fine, as configuring the necessary files, although when I want to configure the database by importing the database.mysql file, I get an error (see attachment). Domain Manager

For those who attended the 'Affiliated Sites' presentation in Barcelona -- or who I told about the module otherwise. I have committed the initial code for the Domain Manager module. http://drupal.org/project/domain Documentation should be finished by end of week. In a nutshell, it uses registered third-level domains and node_access() to provide an affiliated content model. I don't follow the Drupal flow (as of this point) enough to know where to look to fix this issue. Could someone please point me in a direction to get this issue resolved? Thank you kindly! DB trivia - fun for everyone!

The db schema documentation patch (http://drupal.org/node/164983) is quite close to being completed but we still have a small list of unknowns. If folks that are familiar with these could give us some descriptions, I'm more than willing to roll them into the patch. FIELDS: aggregator_category.block aggregator_feed.image aggregator_feed.etag aggregator_feed.block aggregator_item.guid search_index.fromsid search_index.fromtype IN SYSTEM.SCHEMA: cache - table flood - table menu_links - table files.status - field system.owner - field This would be awesome to have in Drupal 6 but we need to get it knocked out soon. base_path() not returning path to Drupal root

I have one other question I am pondering for a crazy long time - I wonder if it's a bug in the core...? An user has Drupal installed in www.example.com/foldera/folderb/ and in there a files folder ( thus www.example.com/foldera/folderb/files/ ) In my module, I need to determine the path to the 'files' folder relative to the domain name (example.com) So I've used file_directory_path() .. that gave me just 'files'. Then I've used base_path() hoping that it would give me /foldera/folderb/ this way base_path() . file_directory_path() but the result was /files I see this issue was discussed at length at http://lists.drupal.org/archives/support/2006-03/msg00042.html but there are no clear conclusions, and anyway, that's a thread from March 2006. So I wonder whether there is a clean solution for this. I'm on Drupal 5.2, btw. Tomas
