why not just phptemplate in core?

Hello, I have one question. Why do we ship a plain PHP theme in core? Wouldn't it be good for consistency if all themes would be a phptemplate theme? and wouldn't it be easier to maintain a phptemplate theme as a plain PHP theme? Is there any reason why chameleon is plain PHP? I think it may confuse people that we ship a theme where the code is not similar compared with all other core themes. cu Tobi btw. Important: CVS maintenance

Block visibility

Hi, I just noticed the introduction of the option to use PHP code to control visibility (on the block configure page). Is there any documentation on this or any links to the conversation that led to this decision? Besides being IMHO decidedly un-user-friendly, this could very likely lock an admin out of his entire site. I couldn't find any information on drupal.org or in the mailing lists. Apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere. Thanks Karthik.
