Menu Admin Settings no D6

modify the output of nodes (hooks??)

Good afternoon, im working on a custom module (my first one) and i have a question. I´d like to modify the output of the nodes, such as modules like print does. I´ve been reading about the hook funcions but i´m not sure about the better or most advisable way. For example: function monedas_block($op='list', $delta=0) { // listing of blocks, such as on the admin/block page if ($op == "list") { $block[0]["info"] = t('Monedas'); return $block; } else if ($op == 'view') { $block['content'] = "contenido del bloque"; return $block; } } // end monedas_block ¿is this method correct? Question on Drupal 6 menus

This is a question for chx, but I posted it publicly so we all benefit from his reply. I found a weird problem with the menus in D6. Most probably I am missing something obvious, but I am missing what it is. This does work. Note that the lists inherits from admin, and it is a NORMAL item. function lists_menu() { $items = array(); $items['admin/lists'] = array( 'title' => t('Mailing lists'), 'page callback' => 'drupal_get_form', 'page arguments' => array('lists_subscribe'), 'access' => user_access('access content'), 'type' => MENU_NORMAL_ITEM, 'file' => 'lists.module', ); return $items; } This, which is what I want, does not show the lists path anywhere, not under menu as disabled, nothing (I marked the changed lines with an *). function lists_menu() { $items = array(); * $items['lists'] = array( 'title' => t('Mailing lists'), 'page callback' => 'drupal_get_form', 'page arguments' => array('lists_subscribe'), 'access' => user_access('access content'), * 'type' => MENU_SUGGESTED_ITEM, 'file' => 'lists.module', ); return $items; } The latter is the one needed so that the path can be enabled or disabled in the menus as needed. block hook problem on D6

if I set my $blocks array like this: case 'list': $blocks[0] = array('info' => 'name'); $blocks[1] = array('info' => 'name'); $blocks[2] = array('info' => 'name'); only the first one appears on Blocks config page I just changed to this: $blocks[] = array('info' => 'name'); $blocks[] = array('info' => 'name'); $blocks[] = array('info' => 'name'); And worked!! All three shows up I tested with this example, same problem: http://api.drupal.org/api/function/hook_block/6 Feijó

While this is appealing, it is a bit of an overstretch though: a distro/package/install profile is a collection of modules and some custom code to set it up. Worth considering though. GHOP mid-term status report

I posted a GHOP mid-term status report on the front page of drupal.org: http://drupal.org/node/205806. Good news: - More modules ported, including API and Comment Upload, which we need for drupal.org. - Vastly increased our unit test coverage for core, and also uncovered a critical menu bug in the process. :) - Several features were added to modules whose maintainers took the time to write up and mentor one or more tasks, including Workflow NG and User Points. - We still have about half of the remaining task slots available (97) Bad news: - We still have about half of the remaining task slots available ;) - One of the criticisms from students is lack of coding tasks to choose from. With all of the coders in the Drupal community, and I'm completely stumped as to how this could possibly be the case. - We have tasks out there that have been waiting on us for a review for *almost a week*. I know people are coming back from the holidays and stuff, but this is *seriously* uncool, as it's both demoralizing to students and it prevents them from working on additional tasks. So please help by: 1. Staying on top of task reviews by monitoring http://drupal.org/issues/tags/GHOP. I can't over-emphasize how important this is, since this is the juice that powers students' enthusiasm toward our project, and actually results in work getting done. Specifically, the following tasks are overdue (the ones toward the top /way/ overdue) a review from someone in the community: * Add "available update" indicator to installed modules: http://drupal.org/node/197486 * Port Event module to D6: http://drupal.org/node/200693 + Port Text CAPTCHA to D6: http://drupal.org/node/198598 * Convert Bluemarine to Tableless layout: http://drupal.org/node/200685 * Drupal 6 theme: http://drupal.org/node/197224 * TinyMCE config module: http://drupal.org/node/203173 2. Reviewing and contributing additional task ideas: * Read the GHOP Task FAQ to get an idea of what we're after: http://drupal.org/node/200510#ghop-task-faq * Review existing task proposals: http://drupal.org/issues/tags/GHOP * Propose your own task ideas: http://drupal.org/node/add/project-issue/ghop 3. Hanging out in #drupal-ghop to help answer students' questions and do interim reviews with them when you're available. The Drupal Association <http://association.drupal.org/>[image: BCEC] is pleased to announce that the next Drupalcon will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA from March 3 - 6, 2008 in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center <http://www.bostonconventioncenter.com/>. This Drupalcon represents two big advancements for Drupalcon. - Larger capacity. The last two Drupalcon's have sold out, capped at 450 people. Depending on final arrangements we may be able to handle 700 at this event. - Community expansion. Drupalcon is being held at the same time/place as AIIM International Exposition & Conference<http://www.aiimexpo.com/aiimexpo2007/v42/index.cvn?id=10197>, the largest content management technology conference in North America. Though technically independent of each other, the Boston team is working to arrange some cross-event access. The goal: introduce Drupal to thousands of potential new Drupalers.
