It seems Mailman ate my first copy of this message, if you get this twice,
my apologizes.
Hello all!
I don't want to take up too much of your time, but I'm wondering if any of
you would be willing to translate Drupal Newsletters. It's important that
we get Drupal out into every corner of the net and translations are one way
to make that happen.
Translating previous newsletters would be welcome, but not necessary. The
hope would be that we could create all the translations around the same
time, and release them all as soon after the English version as possible.
I'd love to discuss this further, if any of you are interested, let me
know.

Hi,
today I've re-generated the Drupal POT files. Due to changes in the
strings, there is now again a theme-inc.pot file. The strings in there
were previously inside general.pot.
Cheers,
Gerhard

You can create an issue against the Romanian translation and attach the
files:
http://drupal.org/node/add/project_issue/ro
The maintainer should then put them into cvs. If the maintainer does not
do that within a reasonable time fram, please mail me again and I will
do it.
Cheers,
Gerhard
Can somebody have a look at this report?

I imported the general.pot from cvs in a po catalog file using poEdit, I
translated 166 (of the 202) terms, left 36 untranslated, and imported my
po file, selecting "Strings in the uploaded file replace existing ones,
new ones are added")
The translation was successfully imported. There are 169 newly created
translated strings and 0 strings were updated.
So far so good. It worked. The number 169 (instead of 166) was probably
because of the plurals.
Then I edited 1 of the 166 translated terms in poEdit and imported the
po file again. Now import tells me:
The translation was successfully imported. There are 36 newly created
translated strings and 0 strings were updated.
Drupal still uses the old unedited translated term.
I think it adds the untranslated terms and ignores the edited
translated terms.
Except if my procedure is not the right way to do it. Please someone
verify.

Yes, please! Create an issue here:
http://drupal.org/node/add/project_issue/drupal-pot
and attach your files.
Will you maintain the translation?

Gerhard
