[translations] import previous translation with kbabel

Hello,

I am trying to translate some contrib modules into french.

My problem is that I don't know how to import a previous, obsolete translation in order to jump start a new up to date translation.

I used potx-cli.php to extract the .pot file. I can make: cp general.pot po/fr.po I know how to use kbabel to make a brand new translation (open fr.po with kbabel, translate, save).

Now, suppose I have * fr.po -> brand new, empty .po file generated by potx. * fr-old.po -> previous, obsolete, incomplete translation.

How do I import (with kbabel) the strings from the previous translation into the new one?

I have been searching (the web and drupal.org) but couldn't find the answer.
