I detected some bugs that are affecting our translations... I already opened tickets, but maybe someone around here can look at them also...
1. The install module is not installing pt-pt properly (and I believe all the languages with "-" codes in the middle). I detected 2 problems:
- The installation installs the language code as "ptpt", which doesn't work, as all the files are "pt-pt"; - The language, even if selected, is not used during the installation process (probably because of the first problem);
2. On the language system, the Portuguese, Portugal should be "pt-pt" (as it has been since the beginning), and not "pt". Currently there is already a development translation of Portuguese, Portugal on the server, but it doesn't load on the drupal installation (when the files are there) by selecting "Portuguese, Portugal".
I had to create a new language with "pt-pt" to be able to use our translations.
