D6 core translations are not yet ready to be released

D6 radically changes the way core translations are done, including how things are named, and where they're laid out. The packaging scripts on d.o have to be modified to take this into account, and Gabor and myself have already started discussing the required changes [1]. Until that's done (and we'll definitely let you know when it is), please do *NOT* attempt to tag an official release of your core translations for D6. It's not going to work anyway[2], and will just create more work for us and more hassle for you. Besides, RC2 is going to break a handful of strings, so you're going to have to re-do your existing translations a little bit, anyway... reason for translations not showing up / contributing

Hello, I have a Drupal installation with English and German translations. For some reason, some email texts, which are translated and parts on the website (I'm using a wide range of modules) don't show up when changing the language settings to German. Is this a known bug or does anyone know what could be a reason for such behavior? Also, our translator started adding translations to the de.po exported from our installation. I've looked around on the Drupal website, but couldn't find info how to filter/export newly translated strings for individual modules out of our general de.po file to be able to upload it into the cvs. I'd be thankful for any pointers. regards, Tomi

Text between braces {}

Hi, How should the text between braces {} be translated? For example, in general.pot file in drupal-pot-6.x-1.0-rc1.tar there is this string: Primary Key: The {node}.vid of the node. Should I leave "{node}.vid" as it is? Or should I translate it? How does it appear in the first place? Will "{node}.vid" be replaced with something else? Thanks, Khaldoon Sinjab

Translation Drupal into Kurdish

Hi all, I have downloaded po files of Drupal translation and i have translated a lot in in. I have translated 100% of installer.po and i have translated too many in other file. Other file will be translated 100% soon. It is possible to add these translations before it be 100%? And can some one help me for put it on CVS? Best regards, Amed Çeko Jiyan
