Hi!
In Drupal 7, it's possible to add context to strings, to make it possible to
translate the same string in different ways. (More info:
http://drupal.org/update/modules/6/7#locale_context )
I've just opened an issue for adding context to "Strong", which needs to be
translated in two different ways for Norwegian. Since other languages may
have other needs for that string for all I know, I'm posting this alert
here, so others can join the discussion. I've also written a post in the
translations group, at http://groups.drupal.org/node/101564.
The issue is here: http://drupal.org/node/950028
I added the issue tag "string context", please add the same tag if/when you
open issues about adding other string contexts. I don't know if it would
make sense to post alerts about future such issues on groups.drupal.org, or
to this list, or maybe collect them in a handbook page somewhere.
Important: All comments about that specific string need to be in that issue,
not here!

Hi,
Would it be possible to be able to create sticky nodes on l.d.o.? For our l10n
team (Greek), we would like to have always on top (sticky) the dictionary of
common words in English and their Greek translations we created.

Hi,
Can you please submit an issue, so those handling the accounts can help out?
Thanks,
Gábor

Hi,
Just in case you are not aware, localize.drupal.org now has a staging
server with some cool new functionality we are preparing to release.
The reason it is on a staging server is that we are looking for
feedback before we push it on everyone. For more information, see
http://localize.drupal.org/node/993
Bojhan provided a great review of the functionality with pointers as
to what was confusing for him.
http://localize.drupal.org/node/993#comment-4008 He used the free Jing
tool (available for Windows and Mac). You can do that simply as well.
There are some nice improvements coming out of his review, so the
staging server now lists your groups on the top prominently and the
front page boxes are cut down and reordered.
There are two improvements waiting for some reviews:
- http://drupal.org/node/727574#comment-2691836 with wording changes
and more hover tooltips
- http://drupal.org/node/737230 with simplification of the initial
look of the filtering form
I'd love more feedback on the staging server and these two issues.
Ideas for other improvements are welcome. It is important you get to
test this out before its deployed, so you'll not be surprised by
issues you encounter when it is deployed. I'd like to make this
service as useable as possible.
